Chair Topper, Cranes and Ramps – Adapted Vehicle Mobility

Chairtoppers, hoists, and ramps are solutions that facilitate the transport of wheelchairs and access to the car. They allow the wheelchair to be lifted, stowed, and transported safely, as well as assisting the person's entry into the vehicle using hoists, contributing to greater autonomy and convenience on every journey.

These solutions make using the car simpler and safer for wheelchair users.

Vehicle adaptations - It is possible to adapt the vehicle to provide greater autonomy, safety, and quality of driving.

Adaptations can be made at the level of:
– Driving aids
– Swivel seats
– Seatbelts and transfer aids
– Chairtopper, hoists, and ramps

Chairtopper, hoists, and ramps

Purpose - Solutions for lifting, transporting, and storing wheelchairs in the vehicle, as well as placing the person inside the car with the help of a hoist.

Available solutions
– Wheelchair hoists
– Chairtopper roof boxes
– Manual two or three-fold ramps
– Electric platforms

Compatibility - It is necessary to know the make, model, and year of the vehicle. The type of wheelchair, vehicle dimensions, and passenger height must also be considered. An assessment with technicians is always recommended to indicate the most suitable solution.

Delivery and installation times - As these are specific solutions for each vehicle, the average lead time is 3 to 4 weeks. Installation is carried out by certified technicians and takes approximately 2 working days.

Homologation - When only a ramp or hoist is installed, homologation by the IMT is not required, as it does not alter the technical characteristics of the vehicle. When tracks and a seatbelt fixing kit are installed, homologation is required.
